The Forensic Audio Podcast & Live Streaming Studio can be set up to accomodate Podcasters, Live Streamers, Content Creators, as well as Video and Film productions. The large green screen, professional lighting, 4K cinema camera and FHD video switcher provide a space that can be configured to suit your own production needs within dedicated audio recording studio.
Professional Quality Video
The Live Streaming Studio has an integrated Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K for professional quality video that can be recorded in-camera at 4K Ultra-High-Definition while sending video to the live stream and video switcher. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K features a dual native ISO and is supplied with a Panasonic Lumix 12-60mm lens. This covers a wide range of different shots and lighting configurations.
The camera can shoot and record video at many different frame rates and resolutions. This includes 60 fps 4K DCI, 60 fps in 4K Ultra HD and 120 fps in Full HD. The simultaneous HDMI output allows for LUTs to be loaded for real time colour correction that can be live streamed, monitored and recorded. Your live streams look professional and finished while giving you access to the ultra-high-definition raw footage for post-production and editing as required. An additional Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is available for internal hire if you require additional camera angles and shots.
Hardware Video Switching & Live Streaming
The control room has a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro video switcher for reliable hardware based video production, recording and streaming. The ATEM Mini Pro features four HDMI inputs that can be switched and keyed in real time. The unit has options for simultaneous live streaming and video recording in 1080P Full HD.
The powerful digital video effects engine features both upstream and downstream keys, an advanced chroma key, transitions, picture in picture and a media player. The live stream can be controlled from the control room using the dedicated hardware interface and remotely from the live room using any web browser.
Lighting, Green Screen & Monitoring
The live streaming option includes the use of our professional video lighting. This consists of Godox and SmallRig Bi-Colour Video Lights. The lights are preconfigured with a range of light modifiers including a 120cm Parabolic Softbox, 90cm and 65cm Octagonal Softboxes and an 85cm Lantern. A bi-colour LED panel provides separate lighting for the green screen.
The studio has a large green screen for live chroma keying while streaming or background replacement in post production. Productions that don’t require the green screen can close the rear curtains for a soft natural background. The live stream can be monitored from the dedicated screens in both rooms. Clients can view the live to air feed or the multi-view of all the video sources, the program & preview windows, audio sources & levels, and the live streaming & recording status.
Professional Audio – More than a Podcast Studio
Audio is at the forefront of everything we do at Forensic Audio. Great audio is essential to the quality of your productions. While the studio has been designed around podcasting, the room can be easily re-configured with other types of audio recording available depending on your specific production needs.
A range of additional microphones and equipment is available to hire. This includes Sennheiser MKH416 and Rode NTG3 shotgun microphones. Wireless Lavalier Microphones are available from brands including AKG and Sennheiser as well as a number of high-end studio grade vocal microphones.
