
The authorised recipient of the Booking Confirmation acknowledges the acceptance of Forensic Audio’s Terms and Conditions:
Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed when the Client or their representative has submitted the online booking form and has uploaded the mixes to Forensic Audio or provided an external download link to access the files.
All mix files are considered final once received by Forensic Audio. Mix revisions received at a later date may incur additional charges and delay the completion of the mastering session.
Cancellation
Confirmed mastering sessions may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the commencement of any work. Please note that preparation work for an unattended mastering session may start many days before the expected completion/delivery date.
A 50% cancellation fee may be applied where a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the session or if any preliminary work has commenced.
Charges
Any person attending a mastering session, or communicating with Forensic Audio on the Client’s behalf, are deemed to be authorised representatives of the Client. Forensic Audio is not liable for any costs or expenses incurred by the Client’s representatives during the course of or related to mastering sessions.
Mastering is charged at a per track rate as specified on our rates page. The total number of tracks billed is determined by the number of tracks delivered in the final sequenced master.
Payment Terms
An invoice will be forwarded to the provided contact email address before the completion of any mastering. All invoices are to be payed in full prior to the release of any masters from Forensic Audio to the Client or their representatives.
Our preferred payment method is by bank transfer, however payments can be accepted by credit card, EFTPOS, Afterpay and cash. Surcharges may apply to international bank transfers and credit card payments.
Refund Policy
Forensic Audio does not offer refunds.
Master Delivery
Once mastering is complete and payment has been received in full, masters will be delivered as digital files to the provided contact email address, unless requested otherwise. If delivered by post or courier, the Client is responsible for these charges.
Master Approval
The Client or their representatives are required to check and approve the master prior to manufacturing and/or distribution, including the approval of the audio content in its entirety and any associated metadata.
Forensic Audio is not liable for any costs or damages arising from the manufacturing or distribution of masters approved by the Client or their representatives.
Damage and Loss
The Client indemnifies Forensic Audio against all and any losses, damages or claims by third parties howsoever arising in respect of any loss or damage to any property including tapes, disks and media, corruption of data or computer systems and software, breach of intellectual property rights, personal injury or death, breach of contract or breach of law caused by an act or omission of the Client or its representatives.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure reasonable security, Forensic Audio accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage to Client property, tapes or recording/backup media whilst on our premises.
Archiving
Forensic Audio will archive and retain all master files for a period of six months after the completion and release of the masters to the Client or their representatives. While masters are often archived for many years, this can not be guaranteed.
